1591XXMFLGY – CUSTOMISED WITH 2 CUT-OUTS.

Our customer used our powerful parametric search engine with it’s search-by-size feature and narrowed down their requirement to two enclosures. At this stage they were unsure which of the two would be best for their application, so a free of charge sample of each enclosure was shipped for their evaluation.
After reviewing the two samples, our client selected 1591XXMFLGY as the ideal option.
Our 1591XXMFLGY is a plastic, flame retardant, ABS enclosure, with a flanged lid making it ideally suited for vertical mounting of printed circuit boards. It’s Flame Retardancy is rated to UL94V-0 and Ingress Protection to IP54 featuring a lap joint, meaning it provides protection against both dust and water.
Customisation: 2 cut-outs on front of enclosure
Having confirmed and approved the sample enclosure sent, the customer was then ready to explore the customisation required. Initially, due to the design still being a work in progress, the customer was unsure of the exact dimensions of the cut-out required. A cost estimation was provided based of a brief description provided by the customer.
With an estimated cost confirmed, the customer was then ready to finalise the customisation required. The customer required two cut-outs on the front of the enclosure for simple connectivity to the PCB Assembly within, and provided us with final design files for us.
Based off these design files, a final accurate quotation was raised. As the customer was new and these enclosures were required for an urgent project, the customer received an instant 30 day EOM credit account to ensure we could move into production ASAP.
Drawing approval:
An internal part number was assigned to the modified enclosure and a drawing was raised for the customers approval. The drawing took approximately two days to create, and was signed off instantly by the customer.
Production was then given the go ahead to commence with building the first off sample.
Sample Approval:
The creation of the sample commenced immediately and it was shipped and delivered to customer within 1 week from drawing approval. The customer was happy with the first off sample, although due to a recent design change with the PCB a few tweaks were needed with the drawing. Due to these tweaks being minor, the artwork was updated and re-sent at no extra cost.
The customer was happy for us to move into manufacturing the full volume and we are supplying this product in volume batches.
